The philosophy of Madog Nursing Home has been stated.  We would now like to amplify certain crucial aspects and invite your further enquiry and, indeed, your early visit-when we can proudly show you the facilities available here and offer a detailed response to your enquiries.

Your absolute priorities include:-

• A pleasing location: Superbly located in Porthmadog, Madog Nursing Home has attractive, well maintained grounds with views to the harbour, the estuaries of the Glaslyn and Dwyryd Rivers and the mountains of Snowdonia.  This is, indeed, a perfect setting.
  
  
• Comfort and care: The vast majority of rooms (single or shared occupancy) are en-suite. There is a telephone and television point in every room and these equipment items will be installed on request. All bedrooms are well furnished (*plus we encourage our guests to bring their own belongings) and all rooms have a carer call system.  In addition there are bathrooms, one well equipped with hoist and shower.
  
  
• Qualified staff: Supervised our Manager/Nurse Manager and a registered nurse - Jill Jones has been Matron here since 2001. Under Jill’s supervision is a qualified battalion consisting of senior nurses, sisters, cooks, cleaners, laundry staff, handymen etc. Every minute of every day a first or second level registered nurse is in attendance.
  
  
• A healthy diet: our very experienced chef creates nutritious and well balanced meals and includes vegetarians and medical diet restrictions in the remit
  .
• Access and facilities: a fully maintained eight person lift operates to all floors.  Regular visits are in place for clergy, hairdressers, chiropodists etc.  We have a range of communal rooms at ground floor level in addition to the hugely attractive grounds already mentioned.   All Health and Safety requirements are strictly adhered to, the building is well lit both internally and externally and we strive to create the friendly, clean environment referred to previously in addition to, essentially, tranquillity.
